Pagination in DETAIL

This is the Arts&Entertainment page I built for Jan. 10, 2008,

featuring the Mouse River Players’ production of “Charlotte’s Web.”

For the headline, I selected several irregular fonts and with the

text-to-box feature, I created a webbing effect by selecting and

extending several points along the edges. I got the desired relative

weight by using two duplicate layers in gray and light blue and

having them overlap. Together with the partial transparency I got

exactly the shadowy effect I was trying to create. For the web itself,

our photo guy isolated the web from the photo and made it the same

color blue as we use for our pullout boxes, so I could run copy

over it without readability issues. The effect was everything I

could’ve hoped for. I was very, very pleased with this page.
